Women’s Health Week: Spotlight on Preventive Health and Lifestyle Medicine

On the 8th of September we held a Women’s Health Week Spotlight on Preventive Health and Lifestyle Medicine Sundowner event at the lovely Back Beach Café (thanks Miranda). Our incredible health nurse Christina collaborated with 13 women from different areas of health and wellness. Well needless-to-say the event was a huge success! Both the speakers and attendees seemed to really enjoy themselves. There were door prizes drawn and goodie bags handed out, as well as some fresh, healthy and delicious food provided and drinks available to purchase.

Throughout the night the attendees were given the opportunity to write down questions, addressed to specific practitioners or just for any one to answer. After the event we sent the questions through to the practitioners who all responded with thoughtful, well worded answers that were forwarded to everyone who attended the event.

A few thank you-s from our team here at South West Women’s Health and Information Centre: a big thank you to Miranda and the team at Backbeach Café & Restaurant for providing the gorgeous location and delicious food, thank you to all of the practitioners and guest speakers, you were all amazing and thank you to everyone who came to the event, your support is invaluable to us and we hope to see you at our next event.
